MyStartingLineUp developed from an idea surrounding the extensive team discussion and selection between friends, family and rugby supporters at “pinch “points in the 6 Nations Season. Team discussion and selection are the main talking points within the rugby community between supporters and take place in rugby clubs, TV, on line forums, social media and the traditional press. Experienced and high profile rugby pundits often air their views on selection and are often challenged by the press, live forums and debates and telephone “ phone-ins”. MyStartingLineUp aims to draw all of these discussion groups together and allow users the opportunity to test their skill and knowledge against other supporters, coaches and pundits with the ultimate aim of matching their team selection with that of the Club / Regional /National / Lions Coach with the opportunity to win a large cash prize.

Rob Norris

Rob Norris has been working in the IT services industry for 37 years, with a focus on cyber security, cloud computing, and digital transformation. He has successfully been involved in setting up and running an IT start-up business, demonstrating his entrepreneurial mindset and innovation skills. He has also worked with various UK & Global clients across different sectors, delivering high-quality IT solutions and services.

Rob is one of the founders of Cyber College Cymru, a unique initiative that aims to develop cyber security skills and talent in Wales. Cyber College Cymru is a collaboration between successful Welsh businesses, Welsh colleges, that provides up-to-date cyber security training to students. The initiative is now in its fourth year and has more than 100 students a year benefiting from it. Some of the students go directly into cyber security roles in Wales or onto Cyber and IT related Courses at University.
Rob is an avid supporter of rugby and Welsh culture. He is the president of Brynmawr RFC, a rugby club based in Blaenau Gwent, Wales.
Rob enjoys watching rugby, especially Welsh rugby, and is proud of his Welsh heritage.

Howard Cooper

Howard is a lawyer with over 30 years working in the IT industry. He has headed up legal teams in many diverse businesses from multi nationals to start-ups. Most recently he works within the EV Motor industry. Howard has a passion for sport with an ongoing interest in Motorsport, particularly Classic Cars. He loves to watch rugby and has been lucky enough to attend many matches across the years. He has a strong belief that this unique product will enhance the enjoyment of Rugby for both spectators’ and fans of the game.

Polly Cooper

Polly has over 30 years’ experience in Marketing and Advertising. She started her career in TV advertising, moving from there to Finance and then into the Airline Industry. Whilst raising a family she worked in Education and gained a qualification in Teaching. Most recently she has been working with major UK retailers in eCommerce. Polly was encouraged to watch rugby by her father who enjoyed a game of rugby and was a regular spectator. During this time, she is happy to see that Women’s Rugby has seen significant growth with many taking up the sport. This has raised the profile of the game allowing more accessibility and engagement. Polly believes MSLU will further advance the following of the game and that this will play a significant role in encouraging existing and new Rugby fans to engage with the sport.
